Township Meeting - New Cell Tower (Posted 2012-02-28)

Verizon Wireless has applied to the Orion Township Planning Commission for a Special Land Usage to construct a 145ft. cell phone tower at the NW corner of Baldwin and Waldon, behind the brown medical building between Baldwin and the Preserve subdivision. The project consists of a 145-foot monopole/cell phone tower and related ground equipment including a 12' X 26' pre-fabricated shelter and a new telecommunications facility to include a 30' X 60' fenced compound.
If you have any concerns over the construction of this tower, the township is holding a public hearing to listen to everyone’s concerns. The Joint Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 7PM. Located in the lower level at the Orion Twp. Hall. The address is 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion.
